    Happy New Year

Hi everyone this is Mona wishing everyone a Happy New Year. I created this card featuring Kat Scrappiness Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Dies .

I started by die cutting all the elements I needed , the two larg st size of the Stitched Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Dies , also here you see a teal card base but later on I decided to go with black. I also Die cut a champagne bottle with a Die I had in my stash. I stamped 2018 on the label and Happy New Years with my Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink .  Next I die cut 2018 with a set of alphabet Dies that I have.I glued everything in place using my Atg Gun which my Atg gun refill  were purchased at Kat Scrappiness. For my finishing touch I added 6mm Gold Sequins. This completes my card for today.

    Reindeer Gift Tags

Hi everyone!  It’s Mona back with a few Christmas gift tags featuring Kat Scrappiness’ new Kat Scrappiness Woodland Reindeer Die.

I started by die cutting two tags using Tim Holtz tag Die and a few Distress Oxide Inks, Peacock FeathersTwisted Citron and Abandoned Coral. I just smooched all colours on my craft mat, sprayed a bit of water, then dabbed my tags in it. After they were dry,  I intestified the colours using a Dream weaver  stencil brush and rubbing over the colors.

Here I just used a old paint brush and a bit of gesso to add texture.

To add even more texture I used my to go to script stamp and my Jet Black Lawn Fawn Ink.

Next, I die cut my Woodland Reindeer Die, glued it on using my Med Nuvo Glue pen and stamped my sentiment using again my same black jet ink. And to give it a bit more colour I used my Red Berry Nuvo crystal drops  to cover the berries. This completes my project for today, thanks for stopping by.

  • Define Naughty

    Define Naughty

Hi, it’s Mona back with a card featuring Kat Scrappiness Naughty Christmas Stamp set and matching Die   ,the Pop Out Die also from Kat Scrappiness and Peeking friends from Gerda Steiner.

I started by picking a double sided patterned paper and die cutting it using the largest of  Kat Scrappiness Rectangle Cross Stitch Die  set  that fits perfectly on a A2 card base. I then took the pop out Die and die cut it more toward the bottom of the card and distressed the edges using Tim Holtz distress tool. I then added double sided tape and adhered the red ribbon on top.

I used my Red Brick disrtress ink and my blending tool to cover the opening of my pop out on my card base. Using my paintbrush, I added droplets of water to add texture to the background.

Now for the fun part I stamped and coloured in my little moose and adhered him peeking out of the hole.

I die cut the word Naughty using black cardstock and used my lawn Fawn Jet black ink to stamp the sentiment above the Naughty. This completes my card for today.  I hope you enjoyed it!

    Eat,Drink & Be Scary!

Hi everyone this is Mona back with a cute journal page featuring Kat Scrappiness brand new stamp and die called Toils &Trouble Layered stamp set.

I started out by putting a thin layer of gesso all over my page . Oh! By the way this is in my Dylusion Creative Journal . Once my gesso was dry I used a brick stencil from my stash and my Dream weaver Stencil brush to add Tim Holtz Iced Spruced Distress Oxide to imitate the bricks.

Once my bricks were dry, I used the same stencil brush and a wood grain stencil this time using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Oxide to make the floor.

While all my background is drying I used the toils and trouble stamp set and my Tim Holtz Stamp platform to stamp 3 cats in 3 shades of grey then I used the matching Die to cut them out.

Here I did the same thing using the skull stamp one in 3 shades of brown and the other using 3 shades of green. I also Die cut those using the matching die.

Sorry for my messy desk ☺️. This is where I drew 3 light bulbs using a pencil and when I was satisfied I used a black sharpie to trace them. I also used a yellow marker to colour the bulb and a grey for the metal part of it. I then glued everything in place using Ranger Multi Medium. Once everything was glued in place I added the twine for the suspended shelf and also for the light bulbs. For the finishing touch, I used my Faber Castell big brush markers to do all the shading and a white gel pen for the highlights.

This concludes my mini tutorial,I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks a lot for stopping by,hope to see you again very soon.

  • Never Ending Circle

    Never Ending Circle

Hi , it’s me again Mona.  Today I am sharing with you a journal page I made featuring  Kat Scrappiness’ new amazing Never Ending Circle Dies.

I started by adhering Tim Holtz script tissue paper to my Dylusion Crestive Journal using Ranger Mat Gel Medium.

While my page was drying I used Kat Scrappiness Never Ending Dies to die cut all the circles in water colour paper.

I used my Jane Davenport bright colour to paint all my circles and added Black Soot Distress Ink around each circle to help the colours to pop. I also added the black ink around the page. I then proceeded by die cutting the letters in black cardstock with a alphabet set that I had in my stash. To finish off my page I used Nuvo Drops -lilac and Nuvo Drop- Caribbean blue to make the dots to contour my page. That completes my page for today. I hope you enjoyed it.

    Mr. Bossy Pants

Hi everyone this is Mona back with a fun card featuring one of Kat Scrappiness’ new die sets.  I must say this is one of my favourites, it’s called Never Ending Rectangle Die Set. I really love the look of all those layers, it makes me happy ?

I started out my card by cutting out my card base at 51/2″x41/4″. I picked three my papers that I wanted to layer and then die cut all my rectangles, 9 of them to be more specific starting with the largest one. I really love that colour combination. I proceeded by adhering all my layers using my atg gun which I needed to refill using 1/4″ Acid free ATG tape.

I adhered all the layers except the top one so I could stamp more easily using the giraffe from my Gerda Steiner stamp set called Go Wild  and my Jet Black ink from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from a stamp set that I had in my stash. I then used my alcohol markers to colour my giraffe and adhered it to the top of the card.

This completes my card for today, thanks for stopping by and see you again soon. I have included the link to the Kat Scrappiness store to be able to check out all her new supplies she has in the store.

  • Crafting Time

    Crafting Time

Hello everyone this is Mona back with a card featuring  Kat Scrappiness brand new Never Ending Rectangle Dies and a fun stamp from Prima called, Valentina Prima Doll.

I first started by selecting the paper I wanted and took the largest rectangle from the  Never Ending Rectangle Die Set and then skipped one and took the next size and placed them carefully on my paper securing them with washi tape to make sure it wouldn’t move when I pass it in my Vagabond. This made my frame for my card. I proceeded by adhering the frame to my card base which is 4 1/4″x 5 1/2 ” .

Now for the fun part. I stamped Valentina twice, once on white cardstock and once on patterned paper with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink . I coloured the skin and hair on my doll and fussy cut the dress from the patterned paper.  Once that was complete I added a sentiment called Craft Today from Art Impressions and added back cardstock to mat it. For the finishing touch I added Kat’s beautiful sequins called Pink Wood grain sequins.

This completes my card for today, I hope you enjoyed this mini tutorial. Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon. For your browsing convenience here is the link to Kat Scrappiness.

  • Swimming by… Birthday card

    Swimming by… Birthday card

Hi everyone this is Mona back with a fun card featuring many of Kat Scrappiness’ new dies , sequins and stamp set.

I started off by stamping this lovely stamp from Honey Bee Swimming by  I love that you can use this set for many occasions.

Now that my image is cut out, I went ahead and die cut everything I needed. I started by cutting my card base at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 then folded it in half. I went through my stash of paper and found two wood grain prints . I took the lightest one and die cut it using the largest rectangle in Kat Scrappiness stitched rectangle dies.  I then adhered it to the front of the card.  I wanted to imitate a porthole, so I then proceeded by using a circle die from the new Never Ending Circle die set and die cut it in the front of my card. I then took that same circle and one that was two sizes bigger and carefully aligned them on my darker piece of woodgrain paper to create a frame for my window. Once everything was adhered to the front of my card I used some of Kat Scrappiness’ lovely sequins. I started by adding  4 dark silver from the Silver city mix   around the window, and used the  Sparkling clear droplets  to look like water drops.

For the inside of my card, I used the same rectangle shape as the front of the card and die cut several waves from the Waves border die set and randomly adhered them.  I finished off my card by carefully adhering my mermaid so she can peek out the window.

I hope you enjoyed this mini tutorial , thank you very much for stopping by. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to leave me a comment. Here is the link to Kat Scrappiness for your shopping convenience.
