    Coffee Because Adulting is Hard

Hello Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs.  Today’s card is for all of us who believe coffee should be its own food group. Inspired by the chaos of adulting (especially pre-caffeine), this project combines sass, sustainability, and a serious love for java. I used the Kat Scrappiness Layered Coffee Cup Craft Dies to brew up this caffeinated creation—and gave new life to a real to-go cup sleeve and a coffee stirrer that narrowly escaped the trash bin. Crafty and eco-conscious? I’ll drink to that!

The background features the perfectly roasty Brew-tiful Beans 6×6 Stencil, while the stitched panels come courtesy of the new Kat’s Essential Card Builder Dies 3. That hilarious speech bubble? It’s from the Stitched Speech Bubbles Craft Dies, stamped with a sentiment from the Perk Up Stamp Set: “Coffee because adulting is HARD.”

    📋 Card Details:

    • Created a A2 top-folding white card base.

    • Using the new Kat Scrappiness Kat’s Essential Card Builder Dies 3, created a background frame for the card front.

    • Sponged “Ground Expresso” Oxide ink over the new Brew-tiful Beans 6×6 Stencil.

    • Adhered the stenciled cardstock behind the frame onto the card base.

    • Cut out the coffee cup from the Layered Coffee Cup Craft Dies using a real to-go cup from my favorite coffee shop, and then the lid out of white cardstock, and the lid trim out of yellow cardstock.

    • Adhered the coffee cup to the front of the card, inserting a real coffee stirrer behind it.

    • Stamped and die cut the sentiment “Coffee because adulting is HARD” from the Kat Scrappiness Perk Up Stamp Set using one of the new Stitched Speech Bubbles Craft Dies.
    • Foam mounted the die cut sentiment to the front of the card.

    • And for the final touch? A few Coffee Bean Embellishments—because nothing says “I take my crafting seriously” like gluing faux beans to paper.

  • Coffee Card featuring Crafters Essentials 2 Die

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a card featuring the new Crafter’s Essentials 2 dies in the Kat Scrappiness store!!!

I used the brand new Crafter’s Essentials 2 Dies on this card. I used the biggest die, the background with the arrow cutouts, and the wide fishtail banner die. In my video you’ll see that I cut out the fishtail banner from the actual background piece I used… I’m a big believer in being thrifty with my hoard of patterned paper lol!! If it gets hidden then I usually end up die-cutting or punching it for use somewhere else on the project or even in another project. I also used the Layered Coffee Cup Die to create the focal point of this card. I stamped out the sentiment from the Coffee Chick stamp set using the Walnut ink pad on the sleeve of the coffee cup… so happy that it fit so perfectly!

Here’s my video… apologies for the bad framing of this one. Trying out a new setup to get a tighter zoom but ended up cutting off a lot of the bottom of the frame. Sorry!! I was going to try to reshoot but this is *gasp* the last of my striped paper and I couldn’t recreate the card!! So sad!!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon! Don’t forget to take part in our awesome monthly challenge for your chance to win a $25 Gift Card!!

    lovies, =o) kel
