  • One Layer Beach Scene Card with Texture

One Layer Beach Scene Card with Texture

Hi, this is Nicki from the design team! I’m excited to share this bright beach scene card with you today. For all the details make sure to check out the YouTube video on the Kat Scrappiness channel.

To start this card, you will need the A2 Waterside Die and the Condensed Lowercase Alphabet dies. You could color this card with any medium but I am going to use Copic Markers today with very fast coloring. I did long strokes to imitate all the changes/texture in the water and sand.

Once the coloring was complete, it was time to add texture with some embossing paste.

Once the embossing paste was dry, I could put the scene back together like a puzzle. Next, I used the lowercase condensed alpha “hi” to create an inlaid die cutting area. Foam tape was applied to pop up the letters.

  • Creating a Postcard Beach Scene

    Creating a Postcard Beach Scene

Hello, everyone! Are you ready for summer?? I got inspired with this fun postcard beach scene. For all the details, make sure to watch the video on the Kat Scrappiness channel.

Let’s start with some ink blending. I used distress oxide inks in antique linen, tea dye, salty ocean and tumbled glass to create the base of the scene.

Next, I added depth and interest with copic markers. For the sand, I used E11 and E33. The ocean was highlighted with B24 and B28. Last, I added white gel pen dots.

Next, I used the postcard die to emboss lines on the panel. Then, I stamped and colored the images from the Summer Gnome stamp set. Last, I added the sentiment and the images.

  • Gnomes in the Sun

    Gnomes in the Sun

Today I am sharing a scene card using the Kat Scrappiness “Summer Gnomes” Stamp Set and “Embossed Edge Circle” dies. I hope you all enjoy making scene cards as much as I do.

I started by stamping and cutting out the focal images. Next I colored the images using Copic markers.

I blended a layer of sand and a layer of water. Using the Kat Scrappiness “wave boarder” dies I cut strips of waves. I attached the water to the sand and arranged the gnomes onto the beach scene. Using the “Embossed Edge Circle” dies I cut out the scene.

I stamped the sentiment and cut layers of card stock to finish the card.

The final step is to assemble all the layers and pieces. At this point I decided to add a few circle and sequins to complete the card. I found this stamp set to be a lot of fun.

    Supplies:

KS – Summer Gnomes Stamp set

    – Embossed Edge Circle dies

    – Waves Boarder dies
