    Merry Christmakah Mini Slimline Card

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I have a Mini Slimline card to share using the Slimline Mountain Scape dies, Holiday Village Slimline dies, Merry Christmakah Sentiment die and Happy Day Stamps from Kat Scrappiness. Below you will find the steps to create your own card and how to create your own sentiment.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 7” x 6”, score at 3 1/2” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (Mini Slimline)

Step 2 – Trim White Cardstock to 3 1/2” x 6”. Apply Ink of your choice using a Blender Brush. I used Red and Yellow Ink and while blending created an orange for my background to the top only. Adhere to card front using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 3 – Diecut Mountain Scape using Soft Blue Cardstock for the Mountain and White Cardstock for the mountain top. Adhere to card using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 4 – Diecut Holiday Village using various colors of cardstock. Paper pierce back the house base, roof and trees on a White base. Adhere to card using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 5 – Pour a little White Acrylic Paint onto an Acrylic Block and add some water. Using a Fan Brush flick onto the card. Let dry.

Step 6 – Diecut Merry Christmakah (word only) and trim of the Christmakah leaving the word Merry using Blue Cardstock. Adhere to card using Bearly Art Precision Glue.

Step 7 – Stamp Happy Days (Christmas) using Versafine Onyx Black Ink on White Cardstock but place washy tape on the S then remove the washy tape before stamping. Now position  the Hanukkah stamp with washy tape on Hanuk. Ink the stamp and remove the washy tape. Now you have a stamped image Christmakah. Trim the sentiment and adhere to card using Foam Tape.

I love doing stamping surgery to come up with new sentiments. Be sure to give it a try. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

    A Happy Holidays Wish

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday!  I’m on the Kat Scrappiness Blog today sharing a Holiday card created using a few of the newest products from Kat Scrappiness.

Before I get to my card, I wanted to remind everyone of the wonderful papercrafting tools Kat Scrappiness has to offer.  The blending brushes, embellishment spoon, retractable embossing powder tool and teflon bone folder are just some of the newest products in the shop.  These make crafting a breeze and would be wonderful gifts for your crafty friends too!

My card measures 5″ square, uses die cuts only and is easy to mass produce.  To create the card, I die cut 3 sizes of circles using designer papers from the Kat Scrappiness Ugly Sweater Slimline Paper Pack.  I arranged the die cuts on a mat of 65 lb. red card and adhered everything flat to a cardbase of 110 lb. bright white card using liquid adhesive.
The sentiment is the Happy Holidays Word Die with Shadow and has been cut from black card and a snippet of Ugly Sweater designer paper.
I’ve popped the sentiment and shadow on craft foam for dimension and lastly, added embellishments from the White Rhinestone Mix and Wink of Stella to the word sentiment.  This embellishment mix, along with many other mixes are currently marked at 50% off the original price.  Kat Scrappiness has the best embellishments and now is a great time to stock up!
Thanks for visiting today!  Have a wonderful week ahead and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Merry Christmas Mini Slimline Scene Card

Hi friends!  I have a card and a video to share with you today.  I used one of my favorite Kat Scrappiness stamp sets to create a little winter scene today.

    Merry Critters Mini Slimline Card

I created the large tree using the tree stamp from the Christmas Costume Add On stamp and die set.  I colored it in with my Copics and die cut it out.  The smaller trees came from the Merry Critters stamp set.  I colored them in the same way I colored in the larger tree using G29, 28, and 24 while leaving some white space to look like snow on the trees.

I then created my background by creating my snowbanks with a template and some Copic markers.  I also ink blended the background with Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot distress oxide inks. I added some white splatter and allowed this to dry.

    Merry Critters Mini Slimline Card

I used liquid glue to adhere the smaller trees to the back snowbank and foam tape to attach the larger tree in the lower corner of the card.

The sentiment is heat embossed in white on black and attached with liquid glue.

The white frame comes from the Reverse Scallop Mini Slimline Frames die set.

I finished off my card with some of the Sparkling Snow Pearl Mix!

Slimline Christmas Card with Ugly Sweater Dress-Up Quokkas

Christmas is fast-approaching and I am totally looking forward to coming home.  There’s something so special about being home for the holidays!  Campfire, Ugly Sweaters, Hot Cocoa, and spending quality-time with my family!  Home for the holidays is my theme for today’s blog post.

As previously mentioned on my last blog post, I will be giving you inspiration using older KS products!  It’s time to give them some much-needed TLC and if you don’t have these items, why don’t you grab them now?!  My card today features the Dress Up Quokka Stamp Set, A Cozy Christmas Slimline Paper Pad, along with the Ugly Sweater Add-on Stamp Set, Merry Critters Stamp Set, Forest for The Trees Slimline Die and the cute Special Delivery Etched Dies by Spellbinders.  These products are all available at the Kat Scrappiness shop!

Here’s how I made the card:

    • Cut the pattern paper from the A Cozy Christmas Paper Pad and adhere on a red slimline card base.
    • Die-cut a panel of Neenah solar white card stock using the Forest for the Trees Slimline Die Set and foam-mount the main frame on the slimline card.
    • Adhere the birch trees and snowbank with liquid glue.
    • Adhere the red car with foam-adhesive for added dimension.
    • Add the quokkas on the focal panel with liquid glue.
    • Stamp the sentiment on some black card stock.  Sprinkle some white embossing powder and heat-set with the heating tool.
    • Adhere the sentiment on the card.

I really LOVE how this card turned out and I hope you got inspired to use your older stamps and dies.  The supplies I used are listed and linked below.  Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day!

    Festive Boxed Sentiment Strip Thanks

Hello everyone!! Nora here on the blog today with a festive, mini-slimline thanks card. I used the Boxed Sentiment Strips to die cut strips out of the Ugly Sweater Slimline Paper and matching cardstock scraps from my stash!!

Here are the steps I used to create my card:

    • I used the largest die from the Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Embossed Edge rectangle die set to die cut a piece of white cardstock as a guide for my paper strips.
    • Next I die cut various sized paper strips from the Ugly Sweater Slimline Paper and cardstock scraps using the Kat Scrappiness Boxed Sentiment Strips. I love combining strips of pattern paper and plain cardstock pieces. It gives a card such visual interest.
    • I adhered my strips over the front of my mini slimline base in a diagonal and cut the edges off to create a rectangle card front.
    • I used Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to adhere the striped card front to a green, mini slimline card base.
    • I then cut out a black cardstock frame with the Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Reverse Scallop w/Hello die. I adhered this to the middle of my striped panel.
    • I die cut my sentiment out of two different patterns of Ugly Sweater Slimline paper and then two out of white cardstock with the Thanks Sentiment w/Shadow Die. I adhered the white thanks together with the red pattern paper. While that was drying, I glued the second pattern paper sentiment down in the middle of the black frame. I adhered my stacked sentiment over this, off setting it so that the darker “thanks” looks like a shadow.

Below is a list of supplies I used from the Kat Scrappiness Shop. Affiliate links used at no extra cost to you. I thank you for your support.

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a FABULOUS day!!!
