Kat Scrappiness released four new fabulous Christmas dies (sets) this week – Christmas Stocking Banner, Build a Stocking, Holly & Berries, and Fancy Floral Coverplate.  Each one of these would be a great addition to your stack to make Christmas cards and ornaments!

In today’s post, I’m featuring the Christmas Stocking Banner.

I created a finished card that measures 9 inches wide by 3 inches tall.  I used distress inks to ink up the background of the card, then added some water droplets to give it a more distressed look.  I used the stocking banner die to cut out the stockings from white card stock.  I then grabbed a paper pad from my stash to cut out each of the stocking covers in coordinating paper.  For the opening of the stocking, I used silver glitter paper.  I added some white and gray bakers twine over the top of the stocking.  Then I tied two bows from silver ribbon and adhered them to the ends of the banner.  To finish off the card, I heat embossed the sentiment in silver embossing powder.
