Let’s Create an Easy Die-Cut Card

Good morning! This is Kathy with the Creative Crew.  I have an easy die-cut shaker card, using the Autumn Foliage die set from Kat Scrappiness. We will also be using the Small Circle Shaker Kit to create this card and the Simple Sentiments Stamp and Die Bundle. So, let’s create a card!

The Autumn Foliage die set contains five dies. Today I am using small and large birch leaves in multiple colors. This is easy! Pull out those card stock scraps you have been hoarding and find a color combination that suits you. I chose fall colors. Cut out a BUNCH of these leaves. We will use them to cover the main panel of our card. TO line them up I started with a 3.75″ x 5″ panel of white card stock. I started at the bottom and evenly spaced out the leaves, adhering them with liquid glue.

Next, let’s work on our shaker element. I chose to die-cut a circle frame that fit the top of my shaker kit. You can simply emboss the top of the kit with gold embossing powder. Then glue down the foam circle directly to your card panel. Add your shaker elements. Carefully glue the acetate to the top frame of the shaker kit, allow it to dry then glue it to the foam piece that contains your shaker elements. These shaker kits allow you to make shaker cards so easily and Kat Scrappiness has loads of them in all sizes and themes.

I stamped the Simple Sentiments stamp in black ink on white card stock and then cut all of them out with the coordinating die from the bundle. SO EASY! I cut a piece of my gold card stock slightly larger and glued them together. I then, with liquid glue, added that liquid glue on top of the shaker element.

I added foam tape to the main panel and adhered it to a top folding A2 card base of a coordinating color.

I hope you enjoy this card and look forward to seeing your creations! Please head over to the Kat Scrappiness shop to get these fabulous products!  Have a wonderful day!
