Summer Quokka – You Are Awesome

Hello Everyone! It’s Sheri here today with TWO cards featuring the NEWLY released Summer Quokka stamp set along with the Mini Slimline Rope Stitched and Mini Slimline Cross Stitched dies by Kat Scrappiness, Inc.  If you haven’t checked out the release yet, you can find it HERE.

My first card features the Summer Quokka stamp set and Mini Slimline Rope Stitched die set.

Steps to Create Card:

  1. Cut White Card Base: 6″ x 3 1/2″ (6″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″.
  2. Cut Star Layer using Mini Slimline Rope Stitched die set. I used the largest die in the set. you will need to cut your pattern papers slightly bigger to cut out. (Final layer: Red Star 1 1/2″ x 3 1/8″, Blue Star 2 9/16 x 3 1/8″, and Red Star 1 1/2″ x 3 1/8″. Then you will cut a piece of Kraft card stock using the same die and tear off to create the beach. I then added some ink blending with Kraft ink and stamped the sentiment with black ink.
  3. Stamp your images and color with your favorite coloring medium. I used alcohol friendly ink and colored with copic markers. I then fussy cut the images out.
  4. Arrange your images and attach your card panel to the card base.

Here’s a list of all the supplies I used from the store:

My second card features the Summer Quokka stamp set and the Mini Slimline Cross Stitched die set. To change this up I flipped the card to create a tall card.

Steps to Create Card:

  1. Cut Slimline Card Base: 3 1/2″ x 6″ (7″ x 6″, scored at 3 1/2″)
  2. Cut White Panel using largest die in the Mini Slimline Cross Stitched die set. You will also need to cut a piece of kraft card stock using the Mini Slimline Cross Stitched die set to create the beach. Tear to desired size and add a little ink blending for texture. For the sky I did a little ink blending with blue ink.
  3. Stamp your Quokka images and color with your favorite coloring medium. I used an alcohol friendly link and colored with copic markers. I then fussy cut the images out.
  4. Arrange images and attached card panel to card base.
  5. For embellishment I added a few Moonlight Glow Sprinkles.
