Whoooo… is Having A Birthday & Sunshine Chameleon By Guest Designer Meghan Kennihan

Hi Crafty Friends,

This is my LAST post as a Guest Designer for Kat Scrappiness, but I’m sure I’ll be back soon if they will have me! I really enjoyed my time this month because I ADORE Kathleen and Kat Scrappiness products. They are the best group of ladies and the store amazing with all the unique products they carry! I made two cards for my last day. The first one is a fun birthday card using the new release die sets from this month! They make fun backgrounds so easy to make!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:

Q: Have you ever seen an owl in the wilderness? Not a zoo….

A: Me? No…. sadly I have not, I have heard them but never seen on except in a zoo

I started my card with the blue panel using the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die. Then I die cut the Wood Grain Frame and inked it with brown distress oxide to make the wood grain stand out!

I assembled the scene, adding these darling owls from Gerda Designs that are carried in the Kat Scrappiness Store! And of course the cute little pun sentiment!

For my second card, I had a little fun with the Lawn Fawn One In A Chameleon set that is in the store. Who doesn’t love sunshine? And this Chameleon has made himself yellow to shine bright just like the sun!

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:

Q: What is the worst sunburn you have ever gotten?

A: Me? I did a 100 mile bike ride in a tank top and I missed the middle of my back with the lotion… I got 2nd degree burns and I still have a freckle sports bra shaped outline on my back!

I started this card with the blue panel stamping the little chameleon in darker blue all over. I taped it down to my yellow base then I took a few different ribbons and taped them down as the sunshine rays.

Next, I die cut the “sun” circle using the Kat Scrappiness Distressed Edge Circle and inked the edges in orange. I also die cut the clouds from the Kat Scrappiness He Has Risen die set and inked the edges in blue.

I finished my card by using foam tape to pop up the clouds and sun. Then stamping the fun sentiment on the clouds!

Thank you so much for having me! I would love if you would stop by my blog here, please take a moment to comment and follow so you can answer all the Make Crafty Friends Q & As and follow me on Instagram here!
