Sprinkle Shaker Cards | Kat Scrappiness September Release

Hi Everyone, it’s Priscilla here. Today I have two shaker cards that feature Kat‘s new sprinkles and acetate sheets from her September release. Let’s get started!

My first card is all about penguins!

I first colored Gerda Steiner‘s “Long Time No See” penguin image with Spectrum Noir “Tri-Blend” markers and cut it out with my Brother “Scan N’Cut” machine. I mounted it on a background I created using a cloud stencil and Distress Oxide inks. I added a Kat Scrappiness“Bunny Tails” white pom-pom to the penguin’s hat.

Next, I created the shaker element using Kat’s “Stitched Scalloped Collage Frame” die and black card stock. After adhering one of the new “A2 Acetate Sheets” to the back of the die cut frame, I placed the Darice “Double-Sided Foam Sticky Strips” all around the edges. These foam strips are a MUST when you are working with any kind of narrow die frame.

I carefully poured the Kat Scrappiness “White Snowflake Sprinkles” in the top section and the new “Penguin Sprinkles” in the bottom section before adhering the finished background over the shaker frame.

A yellow Kat Scrappiness “Hello Brush Script & Sentiment” die was the finishing touch!

My second card features the previously released “Wok On” stamp set combined with Kat’s new “Sushi Sprinkles.

I assembled this shaker card in the same manor as the penguin card. Once again I colored the stamped images and die cut them out. I stamped the sentiment “I Like the Way You Roll” from the “Wok On” stamp set and white heat embossed it for the background in the top left section. I carefully poured the “Sushi Sprinkles” in the bottom section of the “Stitched Scalloped Collage Frame,” once again using the Darice “Double-Sided Foam Sticky Strips” to make adhering a narrow shaker frame so easy to do.

I love the way both cards turned out!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!
