Kat Scrappiness March release Day 3 – Butterfly Backdrop Die

Hello Kat Scrappiness fans!  It is the third and last day of the March Release.  We will also be giving away the die set that is being revealed each day during release week and a SPECIAL GIFT to whoever places an order until March 22nd, using the supplies link below. PLEASE SCROLL THROUGH AT THE END OF THE POST TO FIND OUT HOW TO WIN.

For the third day of the reveals, we are showcasing the Butterfly Backdrop die.  Here’s what it looks like:

Here are the projects prepared by the team:

CAREN BARTHOLOMEW

Caren in-laid the butterflies onto a yellow patterned paper and heat-embossed her sentiment in white.  She also added some sparkling jewels to finish her design.

GUEST DT – LINDSAY ADREON

Lindsay will have her own blog post and/or video to show you how she made her cards.

LISA GOLZBEIN

Lisa inked up her background with different distress oxide inks.  She used the butterfly backdrop die to die-cut some white card stock and dry-emboss it with an embossing folder.  She also used the “Thank You” script sentiment die to finish her design.

MARIA RUSSELL

I wanted to show you guys that you can also use the die for another purpose – not just for die-cutting.  I used the Butterfly Backdrop die to ink up my background with Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry distress oxide inks.  I then used my embossing mat to dry-emboss the butterflies on the card stock to give it more dimension.  I added the “You Will Forever be my Always” using the two distress oxide inks I used for my butterflies.  To finish my design, I added some sparkling jewels and Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste.  Here’s  a closer look:

PRISCILLA JOSEPH

Priscilla has made quite a few projects today and you will be seeing her posts and/or video on how she made her cards.  I can’t even pick a favorite! Thank you Priscilla, you rock!

TINA DORNBAUM

Tina inked up her background with some distress oxide inks.  She also die-cut the butterflies  using the die and adhered them onto her colored background.  She used the sentiment “With Sympathy and Love” and finished her design by adding some sparkling clear jewels.
