Got Coffee? Card

Hello crafty friends!! Jana stopping in today to share a card I created using some of the newly released coffee dies from Kat Scrappiness this month.  I myself LOVE coffee or anything coffee flavored, so when I saw that we received these dies as part of our Design Team Package, I was super excited and could not wait to begin crafting with them.

How amazing are these new dies?!?! For this card I used the “Got Coffee?” Die and the Layered Coffee Cup Die.

To begin, I die cut all my layers from the Layered Coffee Cup Die.

I then added some shading to a few of the pieces by using one of my favorite Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks – Antique Linen.

I also wanted to add some color to the card mat. I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Antique Linen and Tattered Rose. I applied these colors using the blending tool in no specific pattern. After I was happy with the ink application, I spritzed some water on to the card mat to “soak up” some spots of color.

After my card mat was given time to dry, I wanted to stamp areas of what would look like coffee ring stains. I used the “Coffee Ring” from the 2″ x 3″ Clear Stamps by Altenew and stamped various edges of both my card mat and card base. I stamped these stains using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide – Vintage Photo to add a darker brown color to the card.

After my card mat was dried and adhered to the card base, I die cut my “Got Coffee?” die and adhered it over my Layered Coffee Cup.

To finish off my card, I used a few sequins from both the Caramel Latte and Chocolate Truffle Kat Scrappiness Sequin Mixes.

I hope that you enjoyed my card make for today. Great card!! That first picture looks almost identical to my last order, with the exception of the sequins. I got the Espresso.
