Christmas Cover Plates with Martha Lucia

Hi there, Martha Lucia here with you. I want to share the new Christmas Cover Plates from Kat Scrappiness. I am fascinated with them because they are elegant, beautiful and versatile!

The first, is this Chirstmas Tree Cover Plate. The size is just perfect to create a entire layout. This design don’t require a lot of work but invite you to use different textures or materials. I used Gold Glitter Sheets from Tim Holtz. Mime were adhesive and to give more dimension, I paste it over regular card stock and then I passed it through the big shot with the Christmas Tree Cover Plate.

I added the die cut piece over a real red card base using double sided foam tape. As final touch, I added some Brown Jewels from the Kat Scrappiness Collection.

My next project is using the second die cut released today, the Ornament Strip Cover Plate. This has a complete strip of ornaments with great design and dimension!

I die cut the Ornament Strip Cover Plate using Whisper White card stock and blue glitter sheet. I pasted both pieces with a few lines of difference to create the sensation of movement.

I completed the design with a sentiment from the stamp set Merry Critters from Kat Scrappiness.

The third project is a card that I made for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

I made this inspired in one design of my team mate Angie Cimbalo. She sent me a card recently and I love it.

To make this, I used the Stamp Set Let’s Get Caffeinated. But let me share the easy steps to create this. First I die cut a zig zag stitched circle from a whisper white card stock and from soft suede card stock, both the same sizes. Then with masking paper and distress ink I created the color strips. I used Mowed Lawn, Fossilized Amber and Fired Brick Distress Ink. To finalize the design, I stamped the sentiment message and some coffee grains using Memento Rhubarb Stalk Ink. I pasted both pieces a little moved over the whisper white card base and added a strip of designer paper on the left border.

You can find these products now on Kat Scrappiness Store and remember that this week the entire store is 15% Off for Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!
