Butterfly Slim Line

Hello crafty folks,

I am sharing a card using the new Kat Scrappiness slim line dies. There are two sets. One has scalloped edges and the other has embossed edges. They are sized to work with each other.

I started by die cutting an embossed rectangle in a solid then a scalloped edge floral print one size smaller.

Next, I cut wonky rectangles in layering sizes. I used an old butterfly die to cut three butterflies to be placed onto the wonky rectangles. The hope was to add interest to a relatively simple card.

The final step is to assemble the pieces. A sentiment was embossed on a small banner. The butterflies were attached to the rectangles and spaced across the slim line card front. The sentiment was centered and attached. I wrapped twine under the images and attached a bow. This design would work with many different images and embellishments.

Supplies:

KS – stitched edge nesting slim line dies

KS – Embossed Edge nesting slim line dies
