Hi Everyone! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am sharing two cards made with the newly released “Holiday Village Slimline Border Die” by Kat Scrappiness. Although perfect for any season, at this time of year, this die just begs the singing of 🎼 “I‘m dreaming of a white Christmas . . . ” 🎼 And can you spot the tiny snowman peaking out on both of my cards?
For my first card, I die cut the village slimline border from white card stock and backed the windows in gold glitter card stock.
I added another snowy hill in the background using the Kat Scrappiness “Stitched Slimline Waves Die” and placed a gold glitter tree line behind the village using one of the “Slimline Mountain Scape Dies.”
To create the sky, I used several shades of red Distress Oxide inks, and added falling snow with white texture paste and a snow stencil. The Lawn Fawn sentiment “let it snow” is white heat embossed and several snowflakes and a tiny “Frosty the Snowman” from Kat‘s “Frosty Wonderland Sequin & Sprinkle Mix” finish this card.
For my second card, I die cut the village out of red/black buffalo check paper and added “snow” on the roof tops using a Marvy Snow Marker.
The night sky was created with several shades of blue Distress Oxide inks. I used white texture paste and a snow stencil again on this card, and another sentiment from Lawn Fawn. Some peppermint candies from Kat‘s “Peppermint Swirl Sprinkles for Christmas Mix,” a few “White Snowflake Sprinkles,” and, once again, a tiny “Frosty” complete this card.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what’s NEW in Kat’s Shop, and follow my blog and Instagram for more “Kat Scrappiness Amazingness”!
Stay Safe . . .
