Hello crafty friends! I’m so excited to be sharing a winter project for Kat Scrappiness. For today’s cards I will be using three Kat Scrappiness dies and some of the beautiful sequins.
The inspiration for this card was trying to incorporate the ocean wave dies into a card that had a winter theme instead of the more obvious summer theme. I have a full video tutorial for you today that you can watch below or on YouTube.

I started by creating a watercolor background with Color Burst and shimmer spray. I then die cut a simple oval from Never Ending Ovals for the main shaker and some layers of waves from the Wave Borders so my Lawn Fawn Winter Otter would have somewhere to rest. When adding the sequins I went with the Sparkling Manhattan to pick up to gold from the shimmer spray and the Blue Steel to mimic the ocean colors. I also create a custom sentiment panel by combing the Fancy Scalloped Borders in an oval like shape.
For the second card I simply layered up some of the ocean scraps and tucked my otter in the waves. I used Blue Steel Sequins to finish it off. I’m happy to have some cards I can use all winter long to brighten someone’s day and that I was able to use a ‘summer’ supply on a winter project.
