Hi Everyone! It’s Heidi and I’m here with a project using the Kat Scrappiness Pop Out die.
This die is so much fun and makes such a statement with whatever you put behind it. Today, it’s a silly rabbit from Paper Smooches’ A Little Lovin’ stamp set. How funny is his face? He’s just so hopeful that you’ll pay some attention to him! How can you resist?
I did my usual shaped card using the largest square from the Cross Stitched Square die set. Again, I just simply kept the top edge of the die over the top fold of a 4.4 x5.5″ notecard and ran it through my Sizzix machine. Easy, square-shaped card with an added little cross stitched detail. I used some Neenah Desert Storm for the notecard.
For the pop out feature, I cut a square of navy cardstock with the 2nd largest square from the Cross Stitched Square die set. I then backed it with a piece of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Winter paper cut with the same square. Be sure to layer the papers back to back so you get the fold correct as you’ll see below. I then used the Pop Out die to cut a window into the two papers.
I adhered the layers together avoiding the pop out part, then, I folded back the solid and patterned triangles with a bone folder to make the folds nice and crisp.
To finish, I stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Loads of Fun with Versamark and heat embossed it with white powder. I popped up the panel over the front of the card and added the little rabbit peeking out from the window. I had to cut him down a little so his feet wouldn’t stick out.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I have all the products I used from the Kat Scrappiness shop linked below. Be sure to use my coupon code: Heidi10 to receive 10% off your purchase (see coupon rules in the shop for more details). Have a great day!
