Hi Crafters! Priscilla here, this time with two cards showcasing the new “Stitched Cloud Backdrop Die” from Kat Scrappiness. This die makes card making so easy, as it totally covers the front of an A2 sized card with such an unique stitched cloud pattern. Just add some form of color medium and your card is practically done!
My first card is an Easter card with adorable bunnies peaking out (or hiding) in flowerpots.
I colored the stitched cloud background with with two different pink-toned Distress Oxide inks. I also used a cloud stencil from my stash to create the illusion of additional clouds in the background. The “Wood Floor” die from Penny Black created a platform for my “potted bunnies.” I stamped Penny Black ‘s “Bunny Friends,” colored the image with Copic markers, and then fussy cut it out.
I die cut theLawn Fawn” happy easter”sentiment using a patterned paper from the Echo Park “Spring Fling” paper pad. Kat’s sequins were the finishing touch, of course. I sprinkled flowers, eggs, and chicks from Kat‘s “Easter Egg Hunt,” “Chicken or the Egg,” and “Mixed Flowers Sprinkles” sequin mixes.
I created a springtime birthday card for my second card, with the Stitched Cloud Backdrop Die cut, once again creating a beautiful card base that I inked with blue and pink alcohol inks and blended out with alcohol blending solution.
I die cut the grassy hills and butterflies from Kat’s “Crafters Essentials- Easter” die set using patterned papers from the Echo Park “Easter Wishes” and “Spring Fling” collections. The pink grass and white clouds were cut from dies in Kat’s “He is Risen” die set. The “Happy Birthday” die sentiment was also cut from the Echo Park “Easter Wishes” paper collection. I used Nuvo Dream Drops in “Love Potion” for the finishing touches.
Well, that’s all for today. See you again soon!
Priscilla
