Happy Saturday Everyone! Priscilla here from the Kat Scrappiness Design Team. Today I am sharing a masculine birthday card, with almost a “baroque” vibe, perfect for a guy in your life. I love dry embossing with black cardstock and then sponging inks or wax pastes over the textured pattern for a “vintage” feel.

I used the Kat Scrappiness Birthday Essentials Die Set to make today’s card. This set includes 22 dies!
Card Details:
- Created an A2 top-folding white card base.
- Dry embossed with a floral pattern a black cardstock layer slightly smaller than the card base and sponged brass wax paste over it.
- Dry embossed another black cardstock layer with the same embossing folder and die cut the 3 tier cake shape using the cake die from the Birthday Essentials Die Set.
- Die cut the frosting layers from the Birthday Essentials Die Set using both white cardstock and black cardstock, rubbing the same brass wax paste over the black frosting layers, before adhering the white layers slightly lower below the black.
- Die cut the candle and the flame from the Birthday Essentials Die Set, adding Wink of Stella shimmer to the flame, and then adhered to the front of the card.
- Die cute the “Make a Wish” sentiment using silver cardstock, burnished with black ink, added shimmer, and then adhered to the top left corner of the card.
