Hello Crafty Friends! Priscilla here from Nubble Light Designs. Today I am sharing a birthday card featuring several new products from the Kat Scrappiness “Magical Quokka” collection.
I used the newly released Kat Scrappiness Magical Quokka stamp set and dies, the 4 Houses Background Die, and the School of Wizardry sprinkles.
Card Details:
- Created an A2 top-folding white card base.
- Die cut the 4 Houses Background Die using blue cardstock.
- Die cut the background again using yellow cardstock and layered the yellow on top of the blue.
- Sponged gray, black, and white oxide inks on the bottom to “ground” the castle.
- Sponged several shades of blue oxide inks over the negative piece of yellow sky, sprinkling with white paint to create a night time effect.
- Stamped and colored the Quokka with Copic markers and die cut using the coordinating die.
- Adhered all the elements to the front of the card.
- Stamped “Happy Birthday” from the Everyday Brushstrokes stamp set onto a strip of yellow cardstock and adhered to the bottom of the card front.
- Added a few yellow School of Wizardry sprinkles to the night sky for the finishing touch!

Priscilla, I love how your brain works and how you put this together. I thought you did the background on the cardbase, but no, you used the negative of the yellow piece. fun!
