Hello everyone, It’s Siqi here today with a love card featuring a color blocks background that’s very easy to do.
First, I cut a piece of 4.25″ by 5.5″ inwhite cardstock panel into four quarters. I then did some ink-blending with some Distress Oxide inks. These inks are very good for ink-blending that give you a perfect smooth effect every time. I chose four of my favs: Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron, and Peacock Feathers.
I then piece the four color blocks together and adhere them down on a piece of typing paper to keep the thickness down.
I used the second largest die from Kat Scrappiness Stitched Postage Stamp Edge Rectangle Dies to die cut my color blocks piece out to be slightly off-set. I them foam mounted the panel on an A2 size notecard.
For the sentiment, I die cut the heart along with the “LOVE” word in the middle out using the Concord & 9th Quilted Heart Die set, and used some foam tape to adhere it on my card panel.
To finish my card off, I added some sequins from both Kat Scrappiness Sun Kissed Sequin Mix and Turquoise Sunrise Sequin Mix. To add some extra shine, I used the Spectrum Noir shimmer pen to add shimmer on my heart shape and coated the heart with Ranger glossy accents.
Hope you like today’s card and I hope to see you again very soon. Big love!
