Little Monsters on a Spooky Mini Halloween Card

mini halloween cardHappy Monday from Josefine!

There is still so much time left till Halloween. That means we can create a few more Halloween cards, yay πŸ™‚
For this mini Halloween card, I reached for a little older monster set from Lawn Fawn and combined it with new dies from Kat Scrappiness and Cheery Lynn.

BackgroundI started with the background. To create the stripes, I covered the stencil with two sheets of scrap paper to create thick lines. Now I blended Hickory Smoke, Carved Pumpkin and Seedless Preserves one after the other and moved the mask for every new line. After I was done I added white lines between the colors to make them pop a little more. I ran it through my die cut machine using the second largest Rope Square die and set it aside.

It was time to wake up the little monsters. I stamped a few and colored them with Copic markers, trying to use colors that fit to the background. Then I cut them out, as well as the “Happy Halloween” sentiment and a piece of vellum. Usually I’m not much of a sparkle person, but I love the Spectrum Noir glitter pen, especially on black card stock. AssemblingSo it was a no-brainer to add a lot of it onto the sentiment πŸ˜›

Assembling the card is always the best part! I started by adhering the sentiment onto the vellum. Now I added adhesive to the vellum where the letters were able to cover it up and adhered it onto the bat background. Two of the little monsters found their place on the card as well. To add a little dimension, I adhered the panel to some black card stock and both with foam tape onto the card base. At the end, I just added Glossy Accents to the sentiment which made it look kind if like a galaxy.

I hope you enjoyed my mini Halloween card and feel enabled to look through older stamp sets as well. Even forgotten Halloween stamp sets want to be used from time to time πŸ˜‰
