Hello Birthday Girl Shaker Featuring Kat Scrappiness Postage Stamp Edge Dies!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I’m pairing some AWESOME Kat Scrappiness Dies and Sequins to create a super simple shaker card!

Doodlebug Design Paper and Accessories are so stinking cute, easy to mix and match, and make card building a breeze! I paired the sweet Fairy Tales 6×6 Paper Pad with 2 sets of Kat Scrappiness Dies! I first cut the white patterned background with the new Postage Stamp Edge Rectangle Dies. I just love how Kat designed this pattern. It can be both masculine and feminine as seen here. The postage stamp edge is different from all the others out there! Then using 2 dies from the Double Stitched Rectangle Die Set I cut the pink patterned frame. The larger of the 2 dies cuts the outside…the next smaller size cut the inside.  I cut a piece of acetate only using the largest of the 2 Double Stitched Rectangles.

I adhered the frame to the acetate with Scor-Tape. I then layered a good amount of Kat Scrappiness Sequins into the center of the white background. I used both the 4mm and 6mm Sparkling Clear Solid Confetti Mix. These sequins are flat! They don’t add any extra bulk to your card front or shakers. I also added a few Pink Wood-grained Sequins to the mix. The acetate from was adhered directly onto the card front, trapping the sequins underneath! This is my favorite way to make shakers now….no fighting with and trimming foam tape 😉 I finished off the front of the card by adding a bit of Ombre ribbon from my stash. For the greeting, I used a piece included in the Fairy Tales 6×6 Paper Pad. I trimmed it to fit the space using the Kat Scrappiness Postage Stamp Edge Square Dies. To top off the bow, I added a sweet little cupcake from the coordinating Doodlebug Design Fairy Tales Sweet Treats Sprinkles!

Thank you all for stopping by! Check back soon for all new Kat Scrappiness Dies, Stamps, and Sequins!

Lovely! Just lovely Kelley. Was just adoring that sentiment “stamp” and wondering where I could get it until I read that it came from the paper set :-). That’s cool. Love the flat sequins for this flat shaker card technique.
