Hi, this is Josefine. Welcome to my first blog article with the Kat Scrappiness Design Team. To say I’m thrilled would be an understatement. I love her shop and everything she does for us crafters! So let’s get started, shall we?
I wanted to create a rather simple Halloween card with Kat Scrappiness sequins being the focus. So I decided to keep the background settled. I cut a piece of black card stock (5.5″x4″), two stripes from last years Lawn Fawn paper pack and the Happy Halloween sentiment from the Cheery Lynn die. Now I dipped the sentiment into the Versamark ink pad, sprinkled purple embossing powder on top and heat set it.
In order to be able to emboss the bats from the stencil, I stamped with the Versamark ink pad through the stencil and sprinkled clear embossing powder on top. This is a little messy, but easy to clean with a baby wipe. After heat setting the bats, I wrapped some Halloween colored twine around the card stock. Now I adhered the two purple stripes to the card base and added the black part with foam tape on top. I also added tiny foam tape pieces to the sentiment and popped that on top of the card.
The Pumpkinlicious sequin pack had the perfect colors for my card, so I added a few sequins around the sentiment and scattered them onto the card. I love that these are a little mat, but still shiny enough in the light. And aren’t these cute pumpkin sequins just adorable? 😛
