Hello friends! Katty here to share a fun and simple birthday card with you all. I made this card for my mom who’s birthday is this month.
I began by using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Fancy Scalloped Square Dies. I used white cardstock with two of the smaller sizes and cut out 6 open scallop squares. I glued them together in sets of two, slightly overlapping each other, creating three sets. Then I glued the three pieces together, slightly overlapping each other as well. I used pink cardstock as my background.
I used the Sparkling Clear Droplets Sampler Pack and filled in the squares in the center of the overlapped die cuts. I used Ranger Distress Ink in the color Fossilized Amber and stamped my sentiment on white cardstock, the sentiment came from the Easter Stamp set Happy Hoppy by Gerda Steiner Designs.
I used the same Distress Ink to stamp out two flowers from the Gerbera Blooms Stamp Set by Mudra. I fussy cut both the sentiment and the flowers and tucked the flowers in on opposite ends of the card. I didn’t add the full flower, just pieces of it which I layered together. Finally, I backed the card front on a pink diagonal stripe patterned paper.
I love how it turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by today! XOXO -Katty
