Happy Saturday Everyone! Priscilla here from the Kat Scrappiness Design Team. Today I am sharing a birthday card for someone hitting the BIG 5-0! This cards “sings” Happy Birthday with its sheet music background, party banners, a giant “Happy Birthday” sentiment, and of course, the BIG # 5-0!

I used the new Kat Scrappiness Layered Party Banner Coverplate Die to make today’s card. This stitched and layered coverplate includes six separate party banners that allow you to cut and layer the banners in any color or pattern you’d like!  The coverplate measures approximately 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.

Card Details:

• Created an A2 top-folding white card base.
• Black heat embossed a sheet music background on black cardstock and adhered to card base.
• Die cut the Kat Scrappiness Layered Party Banners Coverplate twice – once using teal cardstock and again with gold cardstock, offsetting the gold underneath the teal before adhering to the card front.
• Die cut the sentiment Kat Scrappiness “Happy Birthday” twice – once using gold cardstock and again with black cardstock, offsetting the black underneath the gold before adhering to the card front.

• Gold heat embossed a floral pattern on black cardstock before die cutting the numbers 5-0 using the Kat Scrappiness Condensed Numbers Dies.
• Die cut the numbers again using black cardstock, offsetting it underneath the floral patterned numbers, and then adhering to the front of the card.
• Added several Kat Scrappiness gold pearls for a finishing touch.
