Greetings

Hi there!  DT Carly here with a super cute card featuring Kat Scrappiness Oval Never Ending Dies and Kat Scrappiness Wave Border Dies.  I first watercolored my page with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks then cut out my waves using the Wave Border dies.  With the same watercolored paper, I cut out my ovals with the Never Ending Oval dies.

To make my waves look a little more realistic, I used my dauber and added some darker blue ink on the edges of the waves and some white ink on the crest of the wave on top of the blue.

I cut an oval out of acetate for the front of the shaker, and another oval out of the background paper for the card one size smaller.

I started layering the pieces of my shaker card together beginning with adhering the teal background paper to the card base, then the water colored oval, and the top layer being the water colored waves.  For the inside of the shaker I used Kat Scrappiness 4mm Peacock Feather sequins.  I then colored up some fish stamps that I had in my stash.  I placed one inside the shaker, adhered the acetate. then adhered the water colored oval to finish up the shaker portion.  The second fish I had colored, I placed on the outside of the oval, and added the sentiment “greetings” from my stash.

I hope I have inspired you to try out your oxide inks with water coloring.  The results you get are amazing and are always different!!  Remember katscrappiness.com has all the supplies you~ need to make this card, as well as many other supplies to make a ton of other projects!!
