Hi everyone! Cheryl here today with another post for you. Today I’m showcasing some Foilables from Kat Scrappiness.
I used a piece of the chevron toner paper from Creative Vision Stamps, Pack 1. There’s four 8.5 x 11 sheets in each pack and you get 16 different patterns. Lots to play with!
I know in this pic the foiling looks black, or at least very dark, but it was a good view of the overall card. Foil is very difficult to get a good photo of. It is either totally bright or you don’t get the shine at all. It’s hard, lol. Anyway, I used one of the Gerbera daisies from the Mudra Gerbera Blooms stamp set. I embossed the image and used Distress inks to watercolor the image. I stamped out the leaves as well with Distress ink and spritzed with water and blotted off. I stamped the center as well and colored a brownish color. Popped it up on a foam square. I also popped the entire flower up on foam squares as well.
In this pic you get a better view of the gold foiling. So pretty! I mixed up some gold metallic paint and added spatters over the flower, leaves, and salmon color layer which was cut using one of KS Fancy Scalloped Rectangle dies. I then added that to the chevron piece, and the entire thing on to the front of an A2 card base.
I stamped out a sentiment from a Gerda Steiner Designs stamp set called Cheerful Hedgehog. I scattered around some sequins and added a few dots using Novu Enamel Dots in Ebony Black.
This close up gives you a good look at the gold spatters, the watercolor and the foiling.
I hope you got a bit of inspiration today. If you’ve never done any foiling before, you should really try it! It’s so fun when you peel it off and the beautiful image that is revealed is so fun. And so shiny!!!
Happy Crafting!
