Hello, it’s Kathy with the Creative Crew and I have a new card for you featuring the BOO Word & Shadow Die. Sometimes the perfect font can just make the card. I LOVE the font of this die and it makes the perfect focal point for your Halloween cards. This card was super easy to make so let’s get started!
Card Details
- Cut and score a top-folding A2 card base
- Using the Creepy Kooky 6 x 6 Paper Pad select one of the fabulous papers. Cut a panel to 3.75″ x 5″.
- Tape the Boo shadow die and word together, positon this where you want your sentiment and die-cut. Save the INSIDES of the letters. Also, use these dies to cut from a specialty card stock. I used a silver glitter card stock. Remove the silver letters, and keep the shadow.
- Die-cut the word from black card stock.
- Center your main panel and adhere to the main card base with TEMPORARY tape. Put a small outline of glue inside the shadow cut out and then inlay the silver outline. Remove the main card panel and set it aside.
- Now glue the black letters and those tiny centerpieces you saved.
- Do anything you want to your patterned paper. I blended Distress Oxide Black Soot around all edges and the cut-out.
- I then used some Distress Mica Spray (Fortune Teller) and splattered this all over.
- Then I pulled out all of the bats from the new Going Batty embellishment mix. I added foam tape to the back of most of the bats and adhered them to the card. I then added foam to the back of the main panel, positioned it over the sentiment, and adhered to it.
- Finally, I added shimmer pen to the word BOO. You can’t really see it in the pictures but it adds a little more sparkle.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Most products are linked below. Please browse the blog for a bit and see all of the new designs from the Creative Crew. Don’t forget to shop the NEW RELEASE and have a fabulous Halloween!
