Hello Everyone! Stephanie here with a fun Halloween shaker card featuring the most adorable Ghost Dies by Gina Marie Designs. I just had to pair these dies with Kat’s BOO-tacular Sequin Mix, just look at those adorable shaker bits shaped like ghosts! They’re so cute and they coordinate with the ghost dies perfectly! I used this sequin mix as my color inspiration and created my own chevron pattern to match, using a fun (and surprisingly easy) technique that I’ll share with you below.

I started out creating my chevron pattern by cutting 1/4″ strips of paper to match my color scheme. I adhered them to an A2 card base using a double sided adhesive in a diagonal pattern. You really could just leave it like this and it would be beautiful, but if you’d like to take it a step further it’s not hard to create the chevron design. I simply made a second panel, this time with the diagonal going in the opposite direction. I then cut both of the panels into 1/4″ strips and alternated them to create the chevron design. I think the results are worth the extra effort.
I used the smallest circle in the Double Stitched Circle Dies by Kat Scrappiness to cut two shaker windows out of some white cardstock. I also added a Stitched Scalloped Border along one edge for added detail. To add some color to the inside of the shaker windows, I blended some Mowed Lawn and Wilted Violet Distress Inks to the stitched circles.
I decided to add a little extra sparkle to the background, so I adhered a thin strip of black glitter cardstock from my stash to the left edge of my background panel. Now it’s time to start assembling the card. I added a piece of acetate and double sided foam tape to the back of my white panel and added the BOO-tacular sequin mix before adhering it to my background.
Next I added my ghosts, along with some die cut letters to spell out the word BOO! If you don’t have letter die cuts I also think these Thickers would be really cute. Of course I had to finish off the card with a bakers twine bow and some sequins from the same B00-tacular mix I used inside the shaker.
That completes my card for today. Thank you so much for stopping by!
