Hi, y’all crafty friends! Today I have a very simple yet very inky card design to share with you featuring some ink-blending using some delicious Distress Oxide inks.
I have been buying Distress Oxide inks as they came out and I’ve heard a lot about how well they behave when used for ink-blending. I just recently started using then for ink-blending and I love it.
I first did some ink-blending with Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet on a piece of A2 size white cardstock panel. I them trimmed it down to 4″ by 5.25“ and adhere it on an A2 size top-folding notecard with a piece of craft foam for some nice and sturdy dimension.
I then die cut the Concord & 9th Quilted Heart Die using the outline heart die and the quilted heart die with some white cardstock 5 times. I adhere one solid quilted heart shape down on my panel and stacked up all 5 outline hearts die cuts together around the solid heart.
For my sentiment, I white heat-embossed the sentiment ” any day spent creating is a good day” from Altenew Crafty Friends stamp set on a thin strip of black cardstock and adhere it over the heart with some foam tape.
To finish it off, I added some sequins as always. I don’t think I ever made a card without sequins involved. Maybe one day I will challenge myself to complete a card with no sequins on it.
